Students with disabilities at SAIT have the right to access services and programs offered by the institution. Their disability information is kept confidential, with limited disclosure to SAIT's Accessibility Services staff, agents, and relevant benefits providers, based on a "need-to-know" basis and in compliance with applicable laws and procedures. Disclosure can occur with the student's written approval through a release form.
Instructors/Chairs/Coordinators – Page 5, B, 1
Instructors and academic chairs/coordinators have the right to maintain the academic integrity and standards of courses despite a student's disability. They are responsible for ensuring that competencies and requirements for SAIT's programs and courses are upheld, even if it means failing students who have not successfully completed course content or programs.
Accessibility Services – Page 7, C, 1
Accessibility Services has the authority to collaborate with various stakeholders, including instructors, academic chairs/coordinators, deans, students, administrative staff, and external professionals, to assess and establish appropriate accommodations that are reasonable for students with disabilities.

SAIT Policies and Procedures
SAIT is committed to providing a learning environment that is inclusive for students with disabilities and that provides all students with equal opportunities. As well, SAIT will endeavor at all times to meet its obligations under applicable human rights and privacy laws as they affect students with disabilities.
