Q. What is the Library doing in response to COVID-19?
The Library is primarily offering services at a distance, but is providing access to study space starting June 1st.
Students can book time at a computer or a BYOD space in the Library from Monday-Friday.
Current students, faculty, and staff can request curbside pickup for items in our circulating collection or request digitized versions of small sections of books or periodicals.

Q. Can I check out books from the Library?
The Library is now offering a curbside pickup service for current SAIT students, faculty, and staff. Check the COVID-19 guide for more information.

Q. I need to withdraw from my program. How can I get the form signed by the Library?
Please email your withdrawal form to email@example.com and we'll get back to you during operating hours.
Q. What if I can't make it to the Library?
The Library is now offering a digitization service for items in our circulating collection. The Library will also mail items to students living outside of Calgary. Check the COVID-19 guide for details about using these services.
Q. I need a Library PIN. How do I get one?
The Library PIN has been discontinued - you will use the same credentials as Brightspace/mysait.ca. If this information is in a course, please forward details to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q. How do I search for Library resources?
Most of our resources can be found and accessed through the main search box on the Library homepage. Several e-resources are not included in this search, including but not limited to Mitchell ProDemand, ALLDATA, Anatomy.TV, and more.
Q. Can the Library get me this book/article?
Check the Library Search for your item to make sure it's not already in our holdings. If it's not, you can either request items from other libraries or suggest a title to purchase. The Library cannot guarantee access to all items due to availability, publisher restrictions, etc.
Q. What can the Library help me with?
Library staff can assist with questions related to using our resources as well as basic research and citation questions via email and chat. For in-depth support, contact the liaison librarian for your school.
Q. Can I buy my textbooks at the Library?
No - the Library does not sell textbooks. You can buy textbooks at the SAIT Bookstore.
The Library aims to obtain copies of all required textbooks at SAIT to make them available for short term loan. Check our compiled list of textbooks for each semester to see what's available. You can also search the collection for individual textbooks.
Q. My books are past due. Will I collect fines?
Currently, the Library is not charging overdue fines on most items, but you may be charged a replacement fee for items that are long overdue. You can return your books to the Safety Ambassadors at the West Entrance of the Stan Grad Centre.
Q. When is the Library open?
Study space will be open by appointment only starting on June 1st. Check the COVID-19 guide for details about how to book spaces. but staff are available to help through chat during the hours listed on our website.
