Library Accounts: How do I log into My Library Account?

Intro

Request books, renew loans, save favourites, and manage your account information by logging into your Library Account

Scroll down to see how you should be logging in.

SAIT Students and Staff

When prompted by the Library, use your single sign-on credentials (the same as used for mySAIT or Brightspace courses) to access your Library Account, Library Search, or full-text e-Resources.

  1. Select the option for SAIT Students and Staff sign-in.
  2. Enter your mySAIT/Brightspace username and password:

Username: SAIT ID with leading zeros (000123456)

Default password: birthdate, DDMMYY

If you changed your password for mySAIT/Brightspace at any time in the past, use that password to access Library resources, instead of the default password.

You are not able to manage your single sign-on credentials through your Library Account. For assistance with your credentials visit here.

Independent Contractors

Independent contractors who are not paid through Employee Services can apply for library privileges through the Request Contractor Privileges form. You will be provided with a User ID and Password to login to your Library Account, Library Search, and full-text e-Resources.

When prompted by the Library:

  1. Select the Independent Contractor option.
  2. Enter your User ID and Password.

For assistance with your account, contact the library.

TAL Card Users

Visit or contact the library to set-up your TAL (The Alberta Library) Account. You will need to sign-up for the TAL card with your home library (Calgary Public, University of Alberta, NAIT, etc.) before visiting us. Visit TAL Online for more information.

To sign into your Library Account:

  1. Go to your Library Account.
  2. Select the Community Borrower option.
  3. Enter the number on your library barcode (e.g. C998877) and your password.

TAL Account holders holders do not have access to subscription e-Resources. For more information visit our Permitted Uses of e-Resources page and our Borrowing Policies page.
