Welcome

This guide will help you locate criticism, interpretation and analysis of literary works.

  • If you are doing a research paper that requires critical analysis of a novel, short story, play or essay, this is a great place to start.
  • You will also find sources for plot overview, character analysis and general theme.
  • Follow the links to our online catalog, our subscription databases and recommended websites.

Locating Course Readings

The Library provides readings for a majority of SAIT courses through our Course Text Collection. These are short term loan items available for at minimum 4 hours and up to a week for some materials. You can also check our general circulating collection for items with longer loan periods (Level 0 and Fiction).

Use the Library Search below to look for your course readings. Narrow to "Books" or "Articles" on the left side bar under resource type to limit your results depending on what you are looking for. You can also check the Current Textbooks list to see what's available in the Course Text Collection at the Information Desk.
