Scholarly Activity: Support for Faculty

A guide to assist SAIT Faculty with the dissemination of scholarly activity.

Research Services for Faculty

In-Depth Research

The Reg Erhardt Library provides SAIT faculty services to plan and conduct research in their field. Library Liaisons are available for one-on-one consultation on a wide range of research activities including:

  • Planning your research process (i.e., developing a topic, identifying resources, managing the research project, locating publishing opportunities)
  • Finding/using information resources (i.e., searching Library databases or Google, finding articles or videos, locating technical or corporate information)
  • Citation review (i.e., APA/IEEE/Vancouver styles, citation management tools)
  • Teaching/curriculum support (i.e., creating/updating assignment requirements that relate to research and the use of information, identifying course resources, digital video use, using library resources in Brightspace)

Liaisons strive to meet the needs and deadlines of our patrons - a typical research request will have a turnaround time of two weeks; however, library staff reserve the right to adjust the deadlines and scope of a project as needed to meet operational priorities. To access these services, please book an appointment with your Library Liaison via the link below.

Faculty Workshops

The Library runs workshops for faculty throughout the semester on topics such as: How to read an academic article, literature review basics, Google Scholar, and more! Current events are listed on the library calendar.
