Business Resources for Hospitality: Home

A guide for HBVR 355, MKTG 326, and Culinary Entrepreneurship students creating business and marketing plans

Where to Start

Plan and follow a research strategy - it will save you time and frustration!

Step 1) Get Organized - What is the assignment due date? How many resources do you need? What important concepts do you need to research?

Step 2) Gather Information - Select a topic and develop a research statement, then search those terms on the library and internet resources.

Step 3) Evaluate Information - Make sure your information is reliable and up to date by using the RADAR Framework.

Step 4) Apply the Information - Make sure you incorporate your information using correct citation formatting.

You are now ready to write the paper, give the presentation, or finish the project!

About these resources:

Navigate through the different types of resources by using the tabs above. There is a mix of library resources and information sources that are free on the web. Library resources can be used by anyone on campus. Off campus, users must be SAIT students, and must log-in using their SAIT ID# and library PIN. For most students, the library PIN is the last 4 digits of their phone number.
